The purpose of the Surry Arts Council is to provide opportunities for all the people of our community to experience high-quality performances and instruction in the performing and visual arts in order to make the arts a significant part of the life of our community. The Surry Arts Council touches so many lives through many different programs. Providing quality entertainment, education, and enrichment through performing arts, the Surry Arts Council goes far beyond the walls of the Andy Griffith Playhouse. They provide the northwest area of North Carolina the opportunity to be a part of the arts.
