We are part of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church (OPC). The OPC was formed in the 1930’s as a Bible-believing protest to Theological Liberalism in the Presbyterian Church of the United States of America. For more information you may visit http://www.opc.org. Our congregation consists of 21 households. Including our children, we have 88 members as of April 2008. Some of our members live in the vicinity of Mt. Airy. However, we also have families who live in Lambsburg, Fancy Gap, Galax, State Road, Elkin, Westfield, Trap Hill, Pilot Mountain, Winston-Salem, North Wilkesboro, and Lexington. Many of our families with children are involved in home schooling. Others are involved in the local charter school. We have several, dear elderly couples. Some families have adopted children. There are a few very large families, one with eight children. We have a few single men. Some of our members have been divorced and remarried in the past. We have youth of all ages. We also come from diverse denominational backgrounds. Some of our members are originally from Mt. Airy, but most of us have moved here from elsewhere. What we all have in common is a love for our great Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ.
